These are great lies that Soldiers tell their loved ones while in combat. They article has pictures too.

1. “No, we never go outside the wire.” (or “We go on tons of missions.”)
2. “It’s boring here.”
3. “They feed us pretty well.”
4. “I eat healthy snacks.”
5. “I’m learning a lot.”
6. “I couldn’t call because of all the work.”
7. “Our rooms aren’t too bad.”
8. “That’s not machine-gun fire; it’s a jackhammer.”
9. “I’m going to pay off my cards and put some money away for retirement."

LTC (Join to see) I would say...

"Everything is good. Don't worry...."

We all say that.... Even when we get home, we don't tell the real story.... For many reasons.

But, also remember many of our spouses think when we are in the field, we are on a camporee.
