Yes - because the only way that someone can get an APFT failure flag removed is to take a second APFT. That's also the only way anyone can take an APFT since October.

If they fail this one, they can be chaptered yes.

If Friday their second one? Or a third one? Because they should have been chaptered at the second one.

I hate to say it but it does not happen in the reserves at least what I have seen. Been a SAA Civilian for three years and I have yet to have a packet approved. Reserves is trying to keep their numbers. And as many troops ETS/IRR packets I have done I can see why. Are unit went from 230 to 164 in the three years I have been there and it’s not just our unit. It’s others in the building too!

SFC Steven Borders Yes I've heard in the Reserves people get by with things. But on AD you'll see it happen.

Now think for a minute SPC. The SM has failed 2 AFPT tests in several months back to back with no passing in between. The Army discharges thousands of people for being Non-Deployable last year. This SM has proven twice that they can not meet the standards of being a soldier. Hell Yes they can chapter them, that was in the rules for most of the years that the AFPT was/is around. The ACPT is on hold, and does not count right now.

Respectfully SGM guidance has been changing regarding administrating APFT’s. I’m not defending the Soldier’s failure to meet the standard

SPC (Join to see) - What SGM? Your SGM? Your SGM doesn't have a say in Army regulation.

If they are flagged for failing, they're supposed to get 90 days to retake a second one. If someone fails two consecutive they get chaptered. Now some people will count one as a diagnostic to give them another chance but that's not how it's supposed to go.
