My situation is pt failure but passed it with my recruiter after much work, determination and resting of goals and picking of a job that suits my situation based on availability and needs of the army and personality. I’ve been waiting for about a month so far. How much longer is the wait and at what level of administration am I waiting to get the waiver approved? Is it BN, BDE or USAREC?

These waivers get approved and disapproved every day. Everyones situation is different in regards to a waiver. I would highly suggest that you speak with your recruiter and or the station commander at your recruiting station for this information. I can assure you, USAREC means business and their business is to put bodies in the Army. Your paperwork will simply not just sit on someones desk with no movement. If you passed the APFT with your recruiter and they have your packet done, you just have to wait a bit. If you feel that your process is not going the way that it should be, please go talk to your recruiter. If you still feel that things are not moving in a certain manner, simply ask to speak to the station commander. They share the same office and I'm sure you've already met him or her.

Thanks for your input. I try my best no to go over my recruiters head unless she’s giving my empty calories that I can’t feast on. But business is business. Speaking to the station commander is my next step if I don’t get an update from my recruiter that suffices by the middle/end of the month.

I understand what you’re saying but you should understand this as well...no one will take your career more serious than you will. If you want answers, you’ll find them. I mean, aren’t you basically doing that by posting your question on here?PFC (Join to see)

SSG (Verify To See) agreed. I’m very serious about my career in the army. I’ll take note of your advice and go from there. Thanks for your help.
