How do I get Army Reserve time credited for TIS and reflected on an ORB/IPERMS?

Recently transitioned from the Army Reserve to Active Duty. While reviewing my records I found that there was no time credited for my reserve period. I am aware that there will not be an entire 6 year credit, and that most people get around 6mo to 1yr of AFS time?
How do I get this time credited and reflected on an ORB/IPERMS?

Good question CH (1LT) (Join to see) … You'll have to work with your HR- Personnel Services section to do a "pay inquiry" and to get your TIS updated. Only time on active duty, Annual Training (AT), Active Duty Training (ADT), Active Duty for Schools (ADTS), or Active Duty Operational Support (ADOS) would qualify. If any National Guard Time is "State Active Duty" this would not qualify for TIS credit.

There is no conversion. Your reserve time is credited on your LES, your active time is credited on your ORB. If you've never served any time in an active status, then you have no active time

There is a conversion. They will adjust your new adjusted BASD off of this. I was active duty before I went to the guard. I got out a second time and then commissioned in the Guard before I transitioned back to the Regular Army. The simple math is that they will count how many retirement points you have the day you came back to active duty. They will then back date the time you have accrued as your new BASD. My PEBD is June 19, 2000 and my new adjusted BASD is March 13, 2007. Even if you are in the reserves you can acquire the same amount of points in a year that would equate to a month of active duty. So when you come back to the active side you will be credited with your reserve time and only have 19 years and 11 months. Usually with OCS and the other stuff you might get a few months. It is complicated to say the least. It take finance 3 weeks to figure mine out.

CPT (Join to see) that is not correct. The simple math is that 1 day of AD service in a reserve component is equal to 1 day of credit to your BASD. Retirement points aren't used in that way for BASD. We do use the Retirement points worksheet to determine the amount of active duty time served under the AD points section. But there is no conversion for reserve time to active duty time.
I am the person who calculates the time and prepares the DA 1506 for reserve Soldiers, prior service, and officers who need their BASD/PEBD adjusted. By regulation, S1 is required to do it, but Career Counselors spend two months learning about creditable service and work with it every day, so it usually falls on us to do it.
