So while I have spent most of today Researching PTSD and its effects, I have came Across a few great articles that I have wanted to share with The RP Family.
As a new parent that is struggling with PTSD, I have often wondered if my Flashbacks and irritability has effected my Friends and Family in their daily lives and More so my 2 year old Son. This article has answered a lot of the concerns and Frustrations that I have had while trying to deal with PTSD in my daily life.

Do you believe that your PTS (PTSD) symptoms can be found in your family members? It is called...

They have been doing a much better job teaching us to identify the signs and symptoms of PTS in the military, but in my opinion they do not explain the effect that PTS has on our loved ones. Symptom example: Startle response. You are doing everything in your power to keep noise to a minimum so you don't find yourself clinging to the ceiling. Suddenly, the kids accidentally drop...

I have often worried that my children will pick up on when I am anxious or affected by my surroundings. I don't want them to worry, but kids are smart and can tell when something isn't right.
