I am active duty and recently had surgery for a hernia. During a pre op CT scan they discovered I only have one kidney. I was born that way apparently. Will I be medically discharged?

Could you? For sure. It doesn't meet the medical standards for fitness for entrance to military service.
But the weird thing about military medicine is they will often keep someone who no longer meets the standards for military service as long as:
1. It doesn't make them non deployable
2. It doesn't affect their ability to do their job
3. It wasn't intentionally hidden during MEPS
Basically there's a process to kick you out and if your doctor doesn't see a reason why it will affect your performance they may just choose to let it go. We have people with missing limbs and eyesight and even HIV who are still serving on AD. Although people with HIV are considered permanently non deployable
