Looking over military.org they say the army is going to three unifom starting July 1; ACUs, OCP (with tan shirt, belt & shoes), and the scorpions (new u uniform with all brow shirt, belt &boots) now I am PCSing to Germany soon... Do u think it would be a good idea to show up in the new uniform and conform to change (leading the change as NCOs should be) and if so is there an ALARACT message that covers this new change in AR 670-1?? Someone please help me out I also have soldiers in my unit asking about it and told the I'll ask "rally point" and should get an answer by the end of the day. Thanks again for your help Soliders and looking forward to see if someone knows more and if this is indeed an ALARACT message out there.

Yes. Always the new uniform. You should always lead by personal example

Have a couple in your seabag. See what others are wearing when you get there. Don't be that guy. It is a "uniform" after all, and if they have supply issues, you create the frankenformation. If you are there before the "go live date" and you have folks under your care, you can show them the new features, give classes, find out who has, doesn't have, etc. Then one 1 July "go live."

I PCS to JBLM, which I'd in the first wave, on 10 July and plan on signing I. With the new uniform. I have only seen the published info everyone else has mentioned, but I go by the phlosphy that was put out about every other uniform change. It shows initiative and you care about your appearance by not waiting to the last minute.
