God, look at the size of that thing. No wonder they ran out of money. You got to love the GSA and their bidding process! Yap, a company puts in a bid on a project, they are the lowest bidder and then they run out of funds. So what do they do, go back and ask for more money. Now, what happened to all the other companies that actually put in competent bids to get the job done? What a wast of time and money.

Sgt David G Duchesneau, you sound like you've had a bit of experience with how contract bids work!

Unfortunately I do. My Company is a GSA Certified Disabled Veteran Owned and we have submitted several Proposals on all kinds of Solicitations. A lot of freaking paper work!

You have to know how these bids work. Unfortunately, many construction companies give out low bids so that they get the job. They know that it will not be enough money to complete the project, but they also know the system and after they run out of money, they just go back and ask for more, and they get it. Is it fair to the other companies that also submitted a bid, hell no, but that is the way the government works! No wonder the government is broke! And we all know who pays in the end, WE DO!
