My DEROS is the 13th of July from Hawaii, but my report date to Colorado is the 20th of August. Am I supposed to take 39 Days of leave in between these two dates?

As stated in the comments, you can either take 30 days leave or report early. If you report early, I recommend you contact your sponsor through ACT on ako and make sure they’re tracking. PCSing from OCONUS can be more challenging than CONUS.. so communication with your losing/gaining unit will be your most powerful tool.

SPC Benik if you have or when you get your orders it will state on there now early you can report. Once you know that you can put in your leave in.

The fact that you think you are getting 39 days of leave is funny. You get 10 days currently and it needs to be either at your home station or new station. You should probably read the MILPERS that cover this.

I don’t think you are understanding. There is an ACTIVE MILPER (I would need to find if) that limits ALL PCS leave to 10 days to be taken at either home or gaining station. There is no exception to this policy. I’m literally sitting in a hotel at this moment waiting to fly out of Hawaii. SSG (Join to see)

And once they get to gaining station, the unit can process under UCMJ for violating a general orderSSG (Join to see)

When was this MILPER message published? Because the last one I have seen (and I remember that milper message from the beginning of the year) states that you can take leave, but if going outside home of record you need 0-5 or above signature. The only requirement is you have 14 days of quarantine between duty stations. So if you took more than 14 days you’re good, if not you’ll be quarantined for however much time is remaining at your next duty station. SSG (Join to see)

Hawaii might be different, but I’m sending guys to EUCOM and PACOM, along with receiving guys from CENTCOM and PACOM all of whom have or are currently taking more than PCS 10 leave. SSG (Join to see)
