What are my options regarding an MEB? What kind of training is out there? What kind of realistic rating should I expect from the VA?

I'm clumbsy and fell out of a truck back in February and it's now December. I finally was able to get 2 MRIs done recently. And now doc is offering MEB. I messed up my back, hip and foot.
Left foot has plantar fasciitis.
Back has bulging disc, ligamentous
,facet joint hypertrophy, and neuroforaminal stenosis.
Hip has labral tear, hip impengment and there's a tear on the socket of the hip.
The ortho says the surgery isn't very successful if I'm trying to stay in and stay active. 50% "successful" the other 50% gets worse.
He asked if I wanted to go MEB.
My question is, what are my options here? What kind of training is out there? What kind of realistic rating should I expect from the VA?
Any advice? I'm all ears.. ?

Ask for a MAR2 if you think you are still capable of wearing body armor and deploying in the future. The combat weight of support MOS is nowhere near as heavy as a Fisters working combat load with ruck. You can still MEB at a later date if you need to. That is, if you want to stay active.

It looks like you need to make a decision with going with an unknown outcome or a known outcome. You will be evaluated by a VA doctor during the MEB process. My gut feeling is you will go through an MEB. If you do, try to get into the WTB on post if they have one. Don't rush the system to get out ASAP. Do the right thing for you.

No way to give an estimate on a rating without all the details and medical knowledge as well as the rating levels for each condition. Don't bother wasting your time trying to think of an accurate ballpark. It will drive you batty.
Remember, you have your GI bill. Depending on your rating, you'll have access to VR&E. Your state or record might have programs specifically for vets as well that you might want to look into. Again, without more info, it's difficult to say what you may have to look forward to.

SGT (Join to see) no prob. I was medically retired back in '14. It may seem abrupt, but there is a future ahead, and it's as bright as you make it. Think about what you might want to do. Your GI Bill will get you all the way through an undergraduate degree. You can go to a tech school, too. I've been able to go from zero college to a finished master's. It just depends on you, bud. I will say, make sure your finances are straight. It won't take long for your pay to start after the MEB, but you might not be ready for the paycut itlf you don't plan. If the MEB starts, make sure to stay abreast of the timeline. Plan to move where you want and start school or a new job as quickly as possible. You're going to appreciate the structure of a job (even part time) or going to school. Believe me. Going from active duty to fully free civilian is a culture shock.
