Active duty posts already have a fair amount of security. National Guard and Reserve armories are more numerous and have higher visibility as they're often right in the middle of a community. They're usually left very vulnerable. They should allow the Full timers in the unit and senior personnel on drill days to be armed.

Im not so much referring to home defense as I am kids in school, daycare etc. I to have a wife that is more than capable of helping me "hold down the fort"
