When we go on FTXs we stay in the field the whole time and I have had heat rash problem since OSUT. I used body powder to lessen the itchiness but I have never found a good solution. My Annual training FTX will be about 3 weeks long and I would hate to live with heat rash for 3 weeks while training. Is there any way to prevent heat rash? My back gets the worst heat rashes compared to other part of my body. I was thinking that maybe if I get cotton tan shirt instead of my issued polyester shirt it would solve my problem (haven't tried it yet though).
I am open to different ideas.

Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothes. Avoid wearing synthetic fabrics. Drink plenty of fluids to cool the body and to keep hydrated. You also might try applying moisturizer to your skin once a day. The best time to apply is after a shower while your skin is barely damp.

I have to say it... You know you were USAF when you give advice to apply moisturizer after a shower during an FTX. 36 years and I've only seen a shower during an FTX once.

Gold Bond body spray. But it can only be used as a preventative measure. If you spray it on irritated skin it will burn like hell.
