What is your favorite Rear Detachment experience or story?

Have you ever pulled Rear D duty? If so, what is your favorite story or experience from your Rear D? I know that it may be hard for some to find a positive. But there are. Mine was when our five man natural Cav team from 3-1 Cavalry, 3rd ABCT, 3rd ID placed third overall in the Inaugural Gainey Cup competition in 2013. There were some very low moments during Rear D, to be sure, but this one helped us end on a very high note. We all celebrated the victory. It was perfect timing and a perfect lift to many weary and demoralized spirits.

I can't say I've ever pulled Rear Det but being an HHD commander is pretty close. Being the battalion commander's "bus driver" is no picnic while the line units have free reign and autonomy but as long as you "drive" where the BC tells you to its not bad. Luckily I had 2 good BCs that I served under so that made it pretty good.
