So, before i joined the military I sold my drumset so my wife would have some extra cash while I was in basic. I don't regret it, my wife deserves everything and anything no matter how big or small, that I can do!
Now I'm out and I purchased a Mapex MyDentity set and I'm loving it!! Forgot how much I missed drumming! Anyone else want to share a picture of their drum set? I love to see how other people set up!

Love Mapex as well. Bought this set after my return home from OIF 05-06 at Ellis Drum shop in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN back in 2006. It's Tobacco Color and it fit in just right with my current Band colors for The Hickory Wind Band in Vista, CA

Been playing Tama since the '90s...have this in the bedroom on post hehehe...
Plan on buying a Tama Starclassic Bubinga kit once I get out.

Neil played Tama for a good chunk of the early 80's (he had a cordia kit). Really depends on what neighborhood you're in as far as house size here; I'm in the new housing area...is nice, but I pay for my own utilities and full BAH-take some lose some...

SPC Chad Kolod I also have an iron cobra double pedal; I use speedcobras for the double set up though...all boils down to personal preference :) I've played everything from 4-piece set ups to even bigger than what I have now, and my current set up is the most fun for me and easiest for me to use

SSG Kenneth Lanning if I'm not wrong, Peart switched to Ludwig after 85', A show of hands Tour was 86'-87' and he was using the Red giant set. In pedals I would go with Pearl Demon Drive, it's a beauty, sadly it cost more than the double of what I have now +$700. But is so smooth...

you're right...I know he was Tama for awhile then switched to Ludwig, then Pearl for awhile (not positive) then finally settled on DW. Yeah, I've checked out the demon drive pedals; not really my thing (little too much to them lol). Another good pedal is the axis longboards, bit cheaper too. If you're ever in the market for good single pedals, keep an eye out for VINTAGE (not the new release) Camco pedals-they're what I learned double bass on, cost about $35-$50 each but they'll feel like $350-$500

Are those heads Evans Onix? I had those on my Pearl and were the best investment I made, even more than the Cymbals. SPC Chad Kolod

They are Evan's Onyx 2-ply coated. Best heads I've used yet! And I think they look pretty killer.
