If my spouse stays behind during my pcs move, would they pay for her move to the duty station when she's ready?

For certain reasons, my spouse needs to stay behind for a few months. When she's able to, will the military pay for the move? I would arrive with just my luggage so I would not have contacted anyone to move my belongings until she leaves.maybe sooner.

Yes she can, it's in your orders in fact. You just file a separate travel voucher for her when she arrives. You can also send some of your stuff ahead, you can do more than one HHG shipment

Agree with MAJ Rivera, contact transportation. However, the short answer is yes. I have done this multiple times. It is not unusual, nor a big deal. You will have to file two travel vouchers (one voucher and one amended voucher) and possibly two PPM vouchers if you move some stuff yourselves. All actions on a PCS are tied to the order number and what your orders authorize you to do. Good luck.

That’s the reason of my questions SGM. Such PCS has too many moving parts. Therefore looking for an answer in this forum is not the right path to follow, in my opinion.

Sir, also why I agreed with you, but wanted to give a quick 'it can be done.' Should help him to ask good questions knowing it isn't an abnormal request. I think he'll be good to go.

Don't wait to the last moment to talk to the Transportation Office. Sometimes the demand for trucks exceed the capacity. Transportation will brief you on the do's and don't's.
