So here is a question that can be really beneficial to the future development of RallyPoint.
If you have been here for any amount of time; you will notice that the discussions here cover a wide range of topics. You will also notice that you can quickly find discussions using the tags the individual authors use. And as the community here grows and the team behind the scenes continues to improve, I think one thing they should consider is breaking the discussions into different categories. I'm not saying break them based on branch of service. More like a "Rants" category, "Regulations", "General Question", etc.
I'm wondering if you were on the team to help develop this, what are some of the categories that you would like to add to assist in members finding information faster.

I would like to see the Popular Tags section moved from the lower right side of the web page to the Rally Point menu bar on the same line as Updates Profile, Contacts, etc. I feel that this would allow the Popular Tags more visibility if it on the same line as the RP Menu bar and therefore should minimize the number of duplicate threads.

Yes because the oldest posts should be either retired or as you said put aside. There but not the first thing one sees.

I apologize for speaking late to this subject, but you should consider 'Resources' as a building block for the site. Having readily available resource information is in line with the mission statement RallyPoint flies under - To connect members and give them the best tools possible to succeed both while in the military and beyond.
To do that, a Resource section that is fluid, easily searchable, and constantly updated is critical to fulfilling that mission statement.
