If the work you describe is related in part to IT/IM, chalk it up to gaining the experience, Thomas. As a retired 74B40, I can promise you that every little bit will help you advance in the IT field and beyond. For example, Cabling and wiring was more in the telecom domain, but thanks to the opportunity to install cabling, I can still do RJ-45, 568A-B cabling in my sleep. You'd be surprised how many IT 'professionals' have trouble with this menial, but highly-essential task. HTH!

If you are working in a battalion S6 , get used to the bravo work. But yes what exactly are you needing assistance with?
