Was wondering what a day in alc is like. Im going to college online and just got my alc date. I was wondering if its realistic to go to alc and still get a few hours every other night or so to complete schoolwork. Does that sound realistic? I know in ait I was just wanting netflix every night cuz I never had to study. ALC more of the same? 89B if that helps. Thanks!

If you just got dates for ALC, as a PFC, someone or multiple someone’s screwed up. You still need to get promoted to SPC, and eventually go to BLC. Then you will need to be promoted to SGT, and be ready for promotion to SSG, before you get dates for ALC. That being said you have a minimum of 2-3 years before you go to ALC, and will be done with your college courses anyway.

SSG (Join to see)
Let me elaborate. Im hitting my 5 years and got my p status as a sgt. I have an alc date. I just dont know how to change my info on here (as well as I generally keep most info off the web) but ill change my rank for these purposes.
As far as college, I've been going since I completed my 1 year service as that was still a thing when I joined. Im currently getting my PhD. So you can see why I'm still in skill 4ish years later.
Original question still stands.

ALC is going to be busy enough with classwork and nightly study that you will probably be too busy for college classes. Not saying it can't be done, but it would be better time spent focusing on ALC work. But, you have some time, so things may end up being different by the time you get to ALC.

You have a few years before you will get to ALC (If your rank here correct). Quite frankly I bet you could complete most of a degree on the side while at your unit. Focus on that.
