Forgiveness has much power. That is why it is so hard. Forgiveness doesn't excuse the behavior . It acknowledges it and removes the behavior's offense. Sometimes forgiveness can diffuse grudges. One doesn't have to particularly like a person in order to forgive a person. Sometimes when we are forgiven we aren't sure what to do next. It takes great courage to forgive. What about you? What forgiveness story impacted you? Was it when someone forgave you? When you forgave someone? Or could it be there remains a need for some forgiveness in your life? Are you willing to share?

Amen to that Top. The better person you are...the harder it is to forgive yourself. If we only treated ourselves with the same kind of words and advice we give to a hurting friend or loved one.... Wouldn't that be nice?

When I had a chance to meet my ex-wife a few years after we got divorced and she told me she never meant to hurt me. We are still friends today. We send e-mails once in a while.

Wow...I am always amazed at folks who "grow up" enough to do what you and your wife have done. It is damn near a miracle. I am proud of both of you!

My best forgiveness is always and ever will be forgiving my family for everything. Doesn't matter what they have done or will do, its the right thing to do it's a parent thing to do.
