What should I look forward to when Reclass to 88m?

I am Med-reclassing to 88m, my report date is 20201120. What do I have to look forward to besides being cold? How does is work when going to AIT? How is the life as a 88m? I also checked ATRRS and didn’t see a packing list should I contact the school house? If anyone has any insight and would like to guide me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I just want to make sure I’m successful.

Life as an 88M? My nephew was an 88M at FT Sill, bored out of his skull. Sat around the motor pool all day doing PMCS and occasionally got tasked to drive a vehicle out to one of the ranges.

SGT (Join to see) - 36 years and I've found that to be daily life for 90% of the Army regardless of MOS unless you are deployed. Although I have to say, when I was an MP at Benning, those 3ID boys kept us busy. lol

LTC (Join to see) when I was at Stewart on the IFV that’s all we did. When I went to HI it was all I did besides LFX haha

SGT (Join to see) I am assuming you will be going to Ft. Lee. That's were I did my 88N reclass. Packing list can be found on ATRRS, when looking up the school and you click on the class it's that big long list that incorporates all 88 series Reclass, ALC, etc.... But the school house should send out a welcome packet probably about a week or two before class. Have they mentioned a quarantine to you? That's what happened to my class. Added an extra 14 days to just sitting there.

SFC Steven Borders Different SOPs for bases but when you went, where you aloud to POV? I’m assuming I’ll get orders and it’ll say whether or not I’m aloud. That 11hr drive from benning to LW is gonna be nice

SGT (Join to see) - Yes, when I did mine we where allowed POV's. I was coming from WA to VA so unfortunately I was one of those guys without a vehicle.

When I went through 88m AIT about 7 years ago the reclass students sat in the back when we had class and just did all exams with us but other than in the classroom or practical exercises never saw them.
