If I am non-select non-competitive, is there anyway to get a waiver for the 1-year wait?

Is there anyway to avoid the 1 year wait(waiver) other than major changes? If I get my ESB(expert soldiers badge) would that suffice? My scores were great other than sift and I had 2 letters of recommendations from cw3 and cw5 flight warrants. Any help or suggestion is much appreciated.

NC-NS usually means there is something more in your records that warranted concern for example, subpar NCOERs, Marginal 1059s.
1 badge won’t usually change the boards thought process unless you can prove this was in error. You will need to have someone absolutely destroy your packet to figure out what made you non competitive

Nc-ns on first look or second? Its automatic on second look if not picked up. First usually means they see something off in your packet, second look means you just didn't get selected, but after two non-electric they deem you non competitive.
I sincerely doubt an ESB would be anything they may care about, for flight SIFT holds a lot. In a year I'd recommend trying for 131A as well, being you may apply for 3 at a time. Flight may not be in your future but Warrant can def be. ADA is hurting for people as well, and has sweet promotions right now

For the 1 year you will have to talk to a regional recruiter about that. Don’t listen to anyone that assumes they saw something wrong with you. They wern’t on the board. There are plenty of other reasons why you may have not been selected. When you contact the recruiter as what the selection rate was for the last two boards. Don’t give up, this is just a temporary set back.
