My unit is about to go on rotation to Poland and germany for 9 months. I'm wondering what's the best Internet/wifi option there? Also approx how much does it cost. Would need wifi for laptop for school work. Please help! Thank you !

You will probably get an In Country brief when you get there. Not to mention a Left Seat/Right Seat opportunity with your counterparts. All of those questions will probably be answered then.

Your post PX should sell sapphire wireless pucks. They are about $150 and comes with a gig of date and you can add more as you go along. Do you know what part of Poland?

SGT (Join to see) gotcha. Ponzan here. The sapphire pucks will be solid. I used a similar product in Japan and Korea. Whats nice is that you can load up whenever you need it so if you are offline for a days or weeks at a time you're not wasting money on a monthly plan or anything. Here's some of the rates for Poland. A gig will get you about 38000 whatsapp texts/8 hours of music streaming/etc.

SGT (Join to see) i belive they sell 2 models the sapphire 2 ($150) and the t2 ($200). The main different with the two is that the 200 one had a touchscreen and an extra gig of preloaded data. Germany plans are a bit more bit my recommendation would be to buy it per week or something similar since the date doesn't roll over. For example if you buy 3 gigs for 7 days for $15 you have to use that date during those 7 days not after. I guess it depends on how much you think you'll have access to your devices

Alec Roman yeah. Thank you for that. I'm planning to do some school work over there too. So I'll start off light and see how much average usage I use in general then decide for the monthly plan.

A lot depends on where you will be located in those countries. You should update your status if you are no longer a civilian.
