What are the chances of going back into the Army in a different MOS or as an officer after being chaptered out for PT test failure?

I had gotten chaptered out, due to a pt test failure, with an honorable discharge and am currently attending college for a year and a half. I won't be done with college until late 2021 or early 2022. Also had to take out student loans because GI Bill covers 90% of tuition. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is a really good chance that after being administratively separated that you will be ineligible for commissioning without a waiver. Commissioning moral standards are significantly higher than enlisted.

SPC Christian Norris something you could consider is student loan repayment program for your existing loans. Just be aware that it’s considered income and taxed prior to paying the loan company. So if you have a contract that pays off $10,000 in student loans, the loan company will only receive $7,800 and you will still be responsible for the 22% that was taken in taxes, or $2,200

It depends on the re-enlistment code you received but if you were chaptered out for failure to maintain pt standards it doesn't look good. But just talk to a recruiter and get a better understanding of the process and what hurdles you need to navigate. But I will say that with the higher standards for Officers you will have an uphill battle.

Not yet. I was going to wait till I was closer to getting done with school to go talk to a recruiter.
