It has been reported that China has the largest Navy in the world. The PLA is the largest Army globally. However, does any of this size match the might of the United States and Russia? In the context of current events in the Indo-Pacific region.

That's OK.
They have a lot of targets.

Top of the Day to you Top. LoL

China wants to achieve global dominance, but India is its largest roadblock. Therefore, it threatens India by surrounding India with military might in Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Myanmar. Is this kosher too?

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana - they are allowed to have a Navy, and so long as India stays awake, they represent a very effective strategic counter.
Honestly, the PLAN is likely the most vulnerable portion of the Chinese military. They have no answer for modern submarines.

There is something to be said for a target rich environment.

Quality usually prevails over quantity. During "The Threat" (USSR) buildup they said the same, while ships were rusting in port, no pay for troops. Their one Carrier broke down and had to be towed in (RU) recently. China may have enough troops to build a human bridge across the ocean, but their centralized C&C structure is not conducive to mission continuity. This is not good in dynamic maneuver warfare.

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana - Thanks. The horror stories of USSR downfall are remarkable. Troops drinking aviation brake fluid vice vodka, one battle tank was allegedly traded for a case of vodka to Poles, allegedly. It's a different World now, questionably better for most and not in doubt for the few. Little Green Men, Crimea, Belarus. I've seen the rust firsthand in Estonia at a former USSR sub base. Yet, they are now a tech leader globally.

In their case I somehow think number of platforms matters for nothing. The real question is do all those platforms have secure communications with the central authorities who are the only ones that can tell them what to do.
