Would MEPS waste their time with a physical if they weren't prepared to approve my age waiver?

As a slightly older prior service enlistment (I'm currently 37 years old) from the ARNG, I have barely a need for an age waiver given my active duty time from an activation and my ARNG time.
I am scheduled for the MEPS physical on Thursday to enlist in the Active Army. I'm curious if they would spend the time and resources to conduct the physical if the necessary people hadn't already looked at the age waiver and intended to approve it.
Thanks in advance!

Everyone gets physicals. Regardless of age or status of enlistment....first termers and prior service. We all do the duck walk again.

Thanks for replying! I agree wholeheartedly and look forward to getting the physical! I was just wondering, since there is expense of time and resources for MEPS to conduct the physical, have the people or the person that needs to approve the age waiver already given the green light or does MEPS not work that far in advance?

When I came back in the Army, I was 41yrs old. They minus my previous years of service from my age and I was able to come back in with no issues. I already had 8yrs of previous service.
