While you are on a unaccompanied duty assignment the BAH is based on you spouses location and it will continue.

If this is considered an un-accompanied tour, you will recieve BAH based on your spouse's zipcode within in the US.

FYSA, I don't believe Germany is an unaccompanied tour like Korea, which has an option to be accompanied or unaccompanied.

SPC(P) AnnMarie Gonzales , it is a very important distinction if the tour is accompanied or unaccompanied. There can be exception to policies to receive a rate for geographical separation on what is considered an "accompanied" tour, but those approvals are not common (in my experience) and the circumstances must support the exception.
If there are now unaccompanied tours in Germany, then there shouldn't be an issue at all. Just make sure you process the paperwork correctly during in-processing.
Enjoy your tour!
