Is 17C worth reclassing to, or make more as a civilian?

I'm almost done with my contract as a 19D, with multiple Comp-Sci certifications and a TS/SCI (Interm) clearance, debating heavily if I want to spend another 4 year at minimum in a MOS I may not get, or get out with all that I have making around 3 times the amount of money in the civilian sector.

You won’t spend 4 years in an MOS you might not get. You apply to the MOS and upon acceptance you then reenlist. There is no SRR incurred just for applying

The issue more specifically is if an individual does not meet academic or other graduation requirements, and is forced to reclass to another MOS. Reason for that concern is because many in my unit are 19D because they did not meet their original MOS requirements.

There is green grass out there somewhere. First of all salary bate is never a guarantee, unless of course There is a direct hire awaiting you. Then there are the benefits, whose value is unmatched in any sector; medical, dental, Commissary, PX, housing, schools on base-complete control. Then there is the Comrodary, Team work, support in both your professional and personal life, Chaplaincy support, gymnasium. Anyway-good luck with your decision.

Strictly @"making around 3 times the amount of money." $100k no degree, no certification (like CISSP) necessary as not all roles are 'Cybersecurity' (1 domain - cyber, 1 discipline - security). NIST + Indeed.com shows us your calculation '3x $' is accurate. Commercial sector (Verizon, IBM, Google, etc.) pays at least $100k (plus bonuses) and US GOV contracting adds another $20k on top for a TS/SCI in Cyber (Raytheon, GDIT, etc), salary $120k+. I'm thinking of a career change. I am considering all possibilities, but I am curious about Cyber Security. Is the program difficult? What is the job market like for Cyber? If any Cyber Officers could shed some light for me, I would appreciate it.
