They are supposed to be coming out July 10th however I haven’t seen any guidance on beret wear or jump boots. If anyone’s got any info that would be much appreciated

I want a pair so bad I can taste it. I was given a pair by a friend who's father wore them during WW2. They fit perfectly but, I couldn't bear taking a relic out of her family like her daddy's jump boots. Instead I polished them and gave them back to her, I suggested that she give them to her brother or ask if someone else would want them. INDEED he Bother wanted them. Their daddy died a short time later, now they mean a whole lot more.

They aren't officially mandatory until like 2028. I haven't heard a thing from my leadership in my unit - and I'm hoping I can retire in 4 years without buying another new uniform.

That was a good looking uniform right there, I wish they had never gotten rid of it

Capt Gregory Prickett - In the 82nd we got our maroon beret in 1974, before that, we wore a garrison cap with a Glider Airborne patch. Picture was taken in 1972, I was with the 2/508th inf at Bragg.
