Can my family PCS to my next duty station prior to me and live on post. I read on The military one source page that they could but is there a milper, alaract or any kind of did regulation. Thanks

When you get your levy packet you have to select which TDY option you are going to pick. The options are listed in the reassignment reg 600-8-11 under TDY

The military cannot stop civilians (family) from moving or visiting anyone. However, if your family moves before you are given permission then the costs may not be paid for by the military. Housing on installation varies but I believe the service member has to be there to sign and often the family cannot get on a housing wait list until the service member has signed out of the current duty station or at a minimum has hard orders in hand. Your family could move, but they would probably have to find their own housing.

Sure, but it’s going to be out of pocket
