I will soon be medically retired from the Army. My original intention was to get married to my fiancee from the Philippines while in the military until all this Covid crap happened. Since I will be retiring soon my question is this, will I still be allowed to wear my dress uniform, as the groom, to my wedding even after the military?

Even if you weren't authorized (which you are), who's going to tell you no?

and since he will no longer be in the military, what can they do about it even if he wasn't authorized?

LTC (Join to see) - Exactly. I doubt there's going to be any angry Sergeant Major's sneaking around his wedding waiting to pounce.

Just to expand upon this: military retirees from all branches are authorized to wear the uniform using the insignia on the retirement orders and using the last uniform owned. This is codified in Title 10 of the United States Code, section 772. Title 10 Section 772 is echoed in the appropriate uniform regulations for all the services. Here are the highlights from the US Code:
- A retired officer of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps may bear the title and wear the uniform of his retired grade.
- A person who is discharged honorably... may wear his uniform while going from the place of discharge to his home within three months of discharge.
- A person not on active duty who served honorably in time of war...may bear the title ...wear the uniform of the highest grade held during that war.

Since we have been at war for a generation now, there are multiple reasons for veterans (retired or not) to wear the uniform.
