I've been in for a few weeks shy of 7yrs, and have been a SPC for close to 5. I was previously promotable thru the MLI program, but was flagged last summer for HT/WT failure. I passed HT/WT in march, and I'd like to know if I'll be promotable again thru the MLI program or if I'd have to go to the board this time? Totally fine with either, just need to figure out if I should start studying or not.

This is definitely something you want to study and become knowledgeable on because you'll have to counsel your Soldiers on it soon enough. The MLI was announced in the ALARACT message that announced the 8K and starts with SSG/SGT promotions, I forget the number and I'm not sure if the promotion regulation has been updated to reflect it.

I am in the same situation that you were in.
I’ve been looking through the promotion regulation and I’m finding conflicting things.
Did you get put back on the list or did you have to go to the board?

Hey man, slightly late response, but I got my promotable status back almost instantly. Never did end up going to BLC, and I'm going thru an MEB now.
