I would like to find out how other people store and protect their Uniforms in particular their ASU's, Decorations, Ribbons, devices etc.
A few years ago a D.S. I worked with showed me a Tackle box that had all of his ASU stuff inside. Extra ribbons, damn-it's, devices, rulers, tie, bow tie, books etc. Ever since then I have kept all of my stuff in a tackle box since it is easy having all of those compartments and easy to carry... What do you do?

I had one of those years ago as well, I also had this black box, I don't remember the name of it, but it was large enough and flat enough that I could keep my entire rack and all accoutrements in it nice and neat and easy access for placement as it would sit in the way I had to place it, it also had a slot in the top cover for my ruler, a quarter, a shoe lace, and a small cleaning cloth.
It was perfect shape to slip right in the pocket of my suit bag, I had a cutout that my father gave me from his AF days that would keep my uniform perfectly shaped in my suit bag and not let it get wrinkled, I don't know how it worked but it did.

I like the cut out idea to keep the wrinkles away, that would be nice to have. And the black box you are speaking of, the name is escaping me right now, Insignia Saver Case? I can't remember what it is but I know of what you are talking about and I do currently use that for the pieces I currently wear.

Little late in answering, but uniforms I'm not using (I'm Navy, but attached to a USCG unit) go into a vacuum bag. ribbons, extra ribbons, medals, cuff links, ribbon bars, nametags, flags, even pin rank go into a box that my wife bought me from Hobby Lobby. Very much like a tackle box, only with twice as many drawers.
Got a little dicey when my infant son started crawling and getting into it, so now it's up high next to my combo covers.
My dad was an Army Captain in the 70s. Kept his stuff in a drawer and his uniforms in the "don't wear these anymore" closet. But I got his combo cover, and would wear it with my toy light-up sword, red superman/mighy mouse cape, and red-white-and-blue-USA 80's windsuit when I was 4 or 5. Now I regret messing it up, but he just shrugs his shoulders; "I didn't have anymore use for it. Better for you to play with it."
