My fiance and I are currently deployed together and are going to be married via double proxy. How do we enroll ourselves in DEERS and what documentation will be required? We currently do not have birth certificates as we handed them in to receive passports and our social security cards are at home. Also will we need to go to a DEERS office in person or can we do it remotely?

You both need to update each other as a spouse in DEERS, in person.
There should be a DEERS station somewhere near you.
You both need to show the marriage cert.
You probably won't need birth certs and SS cards, as you are both in DEERS already, but check first. If you need them, they are in your iPERMS from your enlistment. Your SS card is probably a scan page towards the end of your DD 1966.
Also, you both need to elect or decline FSGLI, you both have SGLI so declining FSGLI is not an issue.
And you both need to provide the marriage cert to your S1 to get coded married, and get the marriage cert into iPERMS.
And the higher ranking of you will need to change BAH to with dependents.
