I am having issues with reaching an Army WO recruiter. I have been attempting for 10 months to talk to someone with not one email, phone call or dear John letter received on my end. I have talked to retired pilots from the unit I want to be at, talked to enlisted recruiters and even talked with AH-64 pilots on Instagram. I have 6-12 months left before my DOS and would like to have a plan for post AD. Does anyone know what I can do now to at least talk to a warrant officer recruiter?

Ok, so you clearly have no idea how this process works. Head on over to USAREC website and download the sample packet. Next, on the page, find the region you are in and it’s associated recruiters. You can’t contact recruiters outside of the region you are stationed in. And with all due respect, inter service transfers are their least concern right now, especially since you would have to go through basic.
And last but not least, 90% of the Army including USAREC are teleworking and trying to free up the backlog of packets that they got because the last board got canceled. Unfortunately, you are not the priority here. You must wait for them to get back to you because organic Army is the priority regardless of you DOS

With all due respect Sgt, You’re right-I have no idea how the process works. Hence why I am reaching out to anyone and everyone I can think of to shed light on this. My issue is the lack of comms between myself and the WO recruiter. I visit the USAREC and it sent me the contact info of the recruiter I’ve been attempting to contact. I’ll revisit the USAREC and see what I can find. Thank you for the info Sgt.

Keep in mind, 90% of the Army is Teleworking right now. Comms might be difficult as they are preparing for this upcoming board SSgt (Join to see)

Additionally, you aren’t likely to have much success in completing a packet because you are not trying to transition from active to active. And as a result of that, you probably are going to have a hard time getting LORs from aviators because you aren’t even in the Army, yet you are trying to transition to the national guard.

From what I am gathering from prior pilots is that I need to make connections with the unit I want to fly with or state government. “It’s all in who you know”
