I am currently in the process of pcs’ing to my first assignment as an aviator. With my five year plan in mind I am curious, what are some cool assignments available to a UH60 pilot?

DUSTOFF! More flight time. Plus they are everywhere. Anywhere that needs a medic. Very rewarding job. Saving lives!

Like any job, you usually need to do the basic "normal" assignment...i.e. a CAB first, get some experience and THEN they "cooler" assignments open up. As a UH-60 you are pretty much able to go anywhere, can expect Campbell at some point. Get experience doing the norm, get all your hours and night vision ops and stuff - then can look at USAPAB and 160th.
I'll assume DC has a pretty good assignment...

CW3 (Join to see) - It is but it isn't. It is now pretty much a social hang out that sells no food or alcohol so it's a BYOB. And it's not open daily anymore. Just when 228 decides to open the doors

Wow, that’s pretty lame. I’ve heard some of the best stories about it. Actually had a crew chief in previous unit kicked out of the country. That place used to be real wild, just like Korea though it’s toned down a whole lot. MSG (Join to see)
