SFC Barber, I have to agree. As I say in the podcast the NCO Creed has had only a 1-word change in 40 years because it is enduring, I suggest so is the Vision.

I've heard a little about this over the last year or so but I honestly didn't understand the point in it. Is it supplementary to the NCO Creed and the Charge to the NCO?

SSG Woods, in strategic planning organizations must have a clear understanding of their vision, mission, values and strategies. The Army has a Vision (ADP 1) and the NCO Corps has a Vision (FM 7-22.7). You use a vision in combination with a common understanding as you implement change to ensure you stay true to your core. Personally I see the NCO Creed as map for individuals and the NCO Vision to guide institutions. Not sure where to say the NCO Charge fits it does not have a historical reference and until it showed up in The NCO Guide, it was never really formalized. I believe it was a product of the NCO Journal.
