How can I update my ERB BASD / PEBD dates directly?

You actually have to contact DA itself to get it fixed, I know the retention guys and even recruiters talk about doing the paperwork and sending it in, just as you have to do anytime you need corrections for awards, schools, etc. What you have to do is contact branch/DA and talk to a manager directly get a fax number from them or their direct email address and either scan the document in to send to them or fax it directly to them while you are on the phone with them to get it updated at the present time, the norm is to send it through channels, but many times it will take months if not years of repetitive submissions to get corrections that should be as easy as typing it in, but we all know that the people at DA have more important things to do than just fix your erroneous dates (I am saying that with sever sarcasm) since they are more important than all of us combined.
I had a similar issue when I came back to AD from AGR in the mid-90s via lateral transfer, it took me almost 6 years to get it fixed with repeated submissions, phone calls, emails, I actually got to the point of one time I was on leave at home, being from DC and knowing where the offices were at the time in the Hoffman Bldg in Alexandria, went over there found out that my branch managers were actually in satellite offices in Falls Church, VA, drove the 45 minutes it took to get there, went directly to her office had a nice and informative conversation with her and she fixed everything on the spot, we had such a good convo, she even gave me her direct number and her subordinates number and said if I had any other issues or questions, don't hesitate to call, it was a good working relationship from then on, I only had to utilize the number maybe 3-4 times over the next decade after that.
When I went to retire in the fall of 2010, I had to get another issue fixed again for the same, as my dates somehow got jacked up again for some of my AGR/ADSW time, and the MSG just upstairs from retirement services on my installation was able to validate and help the Retirement services chief fix the issue right there on the spot on her computer while I was in the office, I ended up retiring with my just shy of 27 years instead of the 23 she was trying to say I only had, even though I had the 1506 recomp from 7 years earlier validated and stamped from DA with me and a copy in my packet.
To make all this rambling done and end here for you, contact DA and go from there, don't just accept the send the paperwork in answer, because you will still be fighting this years down the road, believe me direct contact does work and has some lasting effects as well. Good Luck
