The trial period for the ACFT was supposed to go through the end of PY20..meaning Sept 30th. But, due to several reasons, including a delay in implementation within the Reserve Forces, the Army is not ready to make the switch yet. The data crunchers still need to access the scores and determine if they need to adjust the scores and publish the finalized standards.
You should ask your leadership chain this question. My expectation is (after the pandemic danger passes) is that APFT will continue to be the record test through October. I have heard talk of ACFT being delayed until 2022, but nothing official.
The new test will become a reality at some point. My suggestion: prepare for the new test. If you can complete the events without much difficulty, there is no reason why you would not be able to pass the old test

LTC (Join to see) I know I am taking a record in September myself just to give me a full year worth a passing test under my belt until they figure out this whole thing on the reserve side.

Expect to be taking both for a while. The Army isn't prepared to switch in October yet and it won't be any more ready after a few months of quarantine

If you have one pending physical test for reasons like failing a previous test, you didn't take one in the last year, you are going to attend NCO school system, or any other reason, the official physical test for record is the APFT until September 2020.
