With technology like the Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) and other systems we could bring to bear without direct boots on the ground intervention should we be doing more?

That would be counter productive to us supporting Iran's ground offensive in Iraq against ISIS.

That is a good point but you could carry that argument to not support Israel against Hezbollah also.

That is true but different. Israel is fully capable of defending themselves. Supporting Saudi Arabia is the same as supporting ISIS and supporting Iran is the same as supporting Hezbollah. Damned if you do and damned if you do.

The nuclear negotiations is the current goal of the administration. Supporting Saudi Arabia in ground operations against a Shia rebel group would kill it instantly.

Didn't we "lost track of" $500 million in weaponry in Yemen?

Of course just like all the missing equipment in Iraq taken over by ISIS, we are just lucky then don't know what to do with them.

Agreed, I'd say we have helped enough. Considering how we have the best logistical support in the world, somehow we always manage to "lose" supply.

I believe this would not only benefit those in the region but send a strong message that we stand by you.  Make more friends by helping than by leaving them out to dry!

I agree and as a contractor in the region the Saudis are getting ready to spend a lot of money through FMS as are others in the region, money that will be spent on US Jobs
