I will be reclassing to 38B sometime this year, hopefully, and I'm trying to get as much information about Fort McCoy as I can. I signed a contract a few months ago and it has me slotted for a unit I won't be heading to for at least a few years.
I'm reaching out to get into a unit close to home so I haven't been officially given any real information about what to expect. I know whatever unit I end up in will prep me, however, I'm trying to get as much info as I can. Mainly what references should I study up on as far as doctrine and ADPs. Thanks in advance.

I was not aware that they were conducting CA reclass training at Ft McCoy until recently, when I was asked to instruct there.
There is a wealth of information out there that you could read up on. Our FM series is 3-57. There are a number of ADPs in the -57 series as well, focusing on aspects of CAO.

1SG (Join to see) yeah the training battalion I spoke to that is in the same building as the unit I'm trying to join just informed me on Friday.
And thank you, I'll dive into the FM and try and get ready for the CA world.

When you get into your FM, always remember Civil Recon and Civil Information Management are constant, ongoing things. Basically never stop doing them.

And targeting cycle.
Lots of times CA gets stuck focusing on things and loses contact with changing objectives and opportunities.

Awsome place to train. I did my premob training there in 2003, and unit movement course there in 2006 and BNOC PHII there ss well.
