Is there a source for me as a business to verify someone's being a Veteran?
In Particular, I do websites and I have a client who has a Financial business that
wants to give a substantial discount to All Veterans. However, they don't know how
to Vette the VET? Neither do I! Does anyone know of a service or website or organization that he could work with?

There is a site called ID.me that will verify veteran status. I don't know what the pricing structure is for sites to use them, but the VA uses their services, so it's a safe bet they are somewhat on the level.

anyone who is a vet should have a DD214 showing when they served. it should be simple to set up a system for people to register as vets by providing a copy. That's what LOWES did. You got to their website and register as a vet and then anytime you go to one of their stores you just give them your phone number and it pulls it up in their system and you get the discount. As for services or organizations which will do that for you, I don't think there are any that exist.

Sir, you have to prove you are a veteran before Lowes puts you in their system as a discounted veteran. I had to show my military Retired ID Card. The 10% is not avalible for sale items as I was told at the store. I am sure they will accept other forms of ID as mentioned.

MSG Danny Mathers - yep you have to prove you are a veteran and once you are in the system you are good to go. And it depends on the store. My local LOWES will still give you the 10% military discount in addition to any other sales or discounts going on but the Home depot down the street will not. you can guess where I buy all my home improvement supplies....

The KC Royals (and most of the MLB teams) use a service called GovX (which has a verification process). The veteran registers through GovX and then the business includes a link on their sales page for you to enter your GovX user ID and password and then the retailer offers you the military /veteran price.
