Usually how long does it take to obtain a NGB22-5 (DD-214 equivalent)? I ETS'd February 10th and on the 12th my states computers went down to update to a new system. Computers went back up last Tuesday but still have no progress. This form is all that's keeping me from going active duty. My recruiter has already requested it. What can I do to speed this process up or find out why it's taking so long?

It took me nearly 18 months and a phone call to the state deputy MILPO for me to get my NGB 22 when I transferred from the guard to the reserves....

I have never seen an NGB22 arrive in a timely manner. Also, an NGB22 is not an equivalent of a DD214. Your DD214 only accounts for active duty periods longer than 90 days, so you could have eight DD214's in the period of time covered by one single NGB22

There is probably only one or two soldiers at the state HQ that generates the discharge order and NGB-22. If you can identify them and call explaining your need they may at least move you to the top of the stack when things are running again. Best of Luck!

Call the main telephone number at your state Adjutant General's Department and ask the operator to transfer you the Military Personnel Office or better yet to the soldier or civilian who produces the NGB-22. Edit and put what state you are from in your original post and I bet some Rallypoint member will help steer you in the right direction also.
