I am in the Army Reserves. I used FAFSA for my bachelors and I have been 8 years in the reserves. My question is what are the steps or process in applying for the GI bill?

Check how much active duty time that you have accrued when you apply. GI Bill eligibility for reserves usually requires 90+ days of activated service (Not counting initial basic training or AIT)

Apply for and manage the VA benefits and services you’ve earned as a Veteran, Servicemember, or family member—like health care, disability, education, and more.

most colleges and universities have a veteran's rep in the admissions and/or finance office that can walk you through the process. You will need to get a copy of your eligibility statement but other than that, they will usually do all of the necessary paperwork because they want to get paid. I transferred my GI bill to my youngest son and he used it to get his degree. First step is pick a school and call them and tell them you are planning to use GI Bill and they will hook you up
