I am about to reclass to 31B at this base. I wanted to know what's this place is all about.

I've only been there for summer AT. Out in the middle of Nowhere, California.
It gets hot AF. weeks above 100.

I was there for Annual Training a couple years ago, so take what I say with a grain of salt. In summer, it's hot for sure, dry and dusty. The main post isn't too big, and didn't have a lot of amenities, but it has a certain charm to it. I spent most of my AT however at nearby Camp Roberts, where the facilities had to be 60 year old if they were a day, so while Hunter Liggett may not be the center of excitement in the Army, it could be worse.

SGT Jysamon “Farid” Sanouvong HA,,,, Fort Hungry Lizard, been a long time.....Was our off post "local" training area when I was stationed at Fort Ord.. Hunter Liggett facilities were ancient in the mid to late 80's when I was there (not that we used the facilities much, mostly that was a reserve / guard deal, we just used the training areas sea to highway )
