I just got orders to FT Hood and know I will be in the MED. I know experiences will vary based on the command. What does your day to day look like?

CW2 (Join to see) - On a serious note, while I worked with Aviation folks both as user, senior staff at 1CD DIV HQ, and the CSM's / S3's in Av land I was not in an aviation unit so should leave the real commentary to those that were at Hood.
I know the dust offs stayed busy, real missions and training ones.. I hope you get lots of flight hours.
If you have Hood specific or surrounding area questions perhaps I can help...

We don't fly real world medevac at Hood, but we get plenty of training flights between internal readiness training and AMRs from ground units. TDY opportunities are also fairly frequent.

Sounds awesome, I am looking forward to arrive. I’ll take any tips you may have noticed for the new W1 walking in.

How do you know you’re going to be in the med sir? I am a flight medic here. I can answer any questions you have. Your day to day as a new pilot will be progressing and then flying a lot. Warrants fly a decent amount, that is your primary job.
