Joined the national guard march of 2018. $20,000 enlistment bonus in my contract. ( I have the paperwork. its in there ) march of 2020 will be 2 years of waiting. still no bonus. I bother my RNCO about it just about every single week. still nothing. ive called DFAS, they said they see that i am to get a bonus but it has not been processed yet. Referred back to RNCO, still nothing. looking for help/guidance/advice.
** UPDATE, I have just checked my LES and its gonna hit my account next week. I guess 2 years is the expected wait time. haha. thanks all for the tips/advice/ and help. god bless

did DFAS give you any info on why it has not been processed yet? Not a 42A but I don't think processing NG enlistment bonuses is a unit function. If it's in your contract then DFAS should have processed it.

nosir all DFAS was able to tell me was that they could see that i was to get a bonus. and to help speed up the process I would need to have my RNCO send in a "Pay Inquiry" Did that about 6 months ago. still unable to find out any further.

SPC Andrew Reid - that makes no sense. If DFAS is seeing it, having your RNCO send a "pay inquiry" won't accomplish anything. Sounds like they are giving you the run around. It may be as simple as they are just backlogged and don't want to admit it. Someone is dropping the ball and I don't think it's your RNCO.

SPC Andrew Reid Look at the wording of your contract, too. I get a bonus, split in half, payable in the 3rd & 5th year of my contract.

I would recommend getting in touch with your state's Incentives Manager. I'm not sure if the National Guard has gotten back on track with bonuses, there were huge issues last year with the Guard Incentives Management System (GIMS).
