Airstrikes have just been authorized to assist the Iraqi military in taking back Tikrit. Do you think this will be it, or do you think we will see an increase in our involvement again?

I think this is the proverbial tip of the spear. I think this is going to continue to escalate until we are in full blown conflict again.

Sgt, do you think that will be within this administration?
If so, will take more pushing from outside the White House?

Also, much respect to the Black Hat!

SGT Nia Chiaraluce, it is starting to look more and more like the quagmire that we got the Soviet Union stuck in in Afghanistan. Our quagmire is Iraq...ugh

Factually speaking, post airstrike... some less than living terrorists.
For now this may be it. Next year, it is likely to be "more".

PFC Matt J., I do not think this administration will announce any official action against ISIS (ISIL) or countries with active cells of the organization unless there is a direct attack here at home. Yes we have has threats, but I think tangible action will require reaction. This administration to me seems to be advocating diplomacy and regaining support.
