am prior service looking to rejoin. I talked to the recruiter today and they said everything looked good for rejoining untill I asked about RCP. I was a SPC when i got out with 5 1/2 years TIS. When I brought up RCP one of the recruiters started talking about how maybe I couldn't re join because the minimum 3 year contract would push me past RCP. You can reenlist past your RCP date so it seems like you could re join. He never really gave me a clear answer. Was wondering if there is anyone who might know something about this?

You can't reenlist past your RCP, that's the purpose of an RCP.
TIS for RCP is based on your active time, so if some of that 5 1/2 years is reserve it doesn't count towards RCP.
HRC is the ultimate approval authority for exceptions to policy, so they may grant you an ETP to go past your RCP by a few months, especially if you've already attended BLC.

If you’re prior service, you should have your black belt in Google-fu. Don’t get me wrong, business rules are ever changing. Best COA is to call the recruiter twice a day for updates to get the contract you want
