What is AIT like for 15T? Are there written tests o hands-on tests? Are we in class all day?

I'm leaving for BCT soon and then I'm off to fort Eustis for 15 weeks. I try to prepare myself for what I'm getting into but there's not a lot about it on YouTube which is where I get most of my information. Will we get hand outside from the PowerPoints, are there written test or hands on test, will we get books for the class ext. I wasn't going to ask this question but it's driving me crazy not knowing.

You should get hands on and written tests. I believe the final exam is predominantly book driven and the key is to know where to find the information in the Technical Manuals. There will be no books as you will rely on Technical Manuals. The early portion of the course is in regards to safety wiring bolts which you can YouTube.
I was at Ft Eustis training a couple decades ago. I was prior service so I had no drill sergeants to answer too. It was like college and drank a lot of beer near the James river with other trainees. I tried to get laid near the James river but the bugs attacked like they were kamikazes. I pretended to be the boyfriend of a hot lesbian trainee as a ruse. Sometimes her hot girlfriend would show up at the barracks, and I pretended to be her boyfriend too. The guys were quite envious of me. I had a good time.
The 160th might visit Ft Eustis for recruiting.

Yes there are written tests and yes there is hands on. The first month or so sucks because it’s all classroom. You’ll learn about publications and regulations and you’ll learn about the maintenance software we use. After that your time will be split between the classroom and the hangar floor.
It’s all VERY basic stuff that you’re taught.

As long as I have something to read over I'll be good. I'm not the greatest at taking notes. Thanks brother!!
