Seeking the knowledge of any Warrant Officer Aviators out there. I am looking into putting in a packet to become a Warrant Officer, specifically interested in the aviation program. I have never failed a PT test (260+) or weapons qualification (expert), have never been flagged for any reason, have never had any punitive action taken against me and recieved a GT score of 111 on the ASVAB. It has always been a dream of mine to fly helicopters and would love the chance to pilot an AH-64 Apache or UH-60 Blackhawk. I'm curious as to how the process of WOCS and the aviation program works. All wisdom and knowledge from personal experiences would be awesome!

I'm not a WO or being cheeky. As far as any recruitment or questions about building a packet this link should have it all: https://recruiting.army.mil/ISO/AWOR/

Have you started your packet? I would recommend taking the SIFT then your physical.

Do I need to contact a recruiter to set up the SIFT and physical? Sounds like something that would happen at MEPS...

Upon selection you will recieve orders to Rucker for WOCS. Five weeks of just leadership classes and doing some pushups here and there. Then you will go over to B Co and do WOBC part A, ya more leadership classes (3 weeks) and vehicle ID. Then three weeks of SERE, followed by 4-5 months of common core in either the Uh72 or TH67. You will then select your advanced airframe based of class rankings. Fly that aircraft for 4-6 months and bam. An aviator you are! Good luck!

How would I go about getting a letter of recommendation from a CW3 or higher Aviator for my packet?
